Nothing. Marketplace Scout does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. The extension and dashboard operate entirely within your browser.
We do not collect your name, email, Facebook credentials, search queries, results, IP address, location, or any browsing history.
The extension runs scripts on Facebook Marketplace pages you visit. These scripts read visible listing data on screen — the same information you'd see scrolling manually — and send it to the local dashboard in your browser tab. No data is sent to Marketplace Scout servers because none exist.
The extension requires permission to access facebook.com/marketplace/* pages to read search result listings. It does not access your Facebook profile, messages, notifications, friends list, or social graph. It does not post, like, share, or interact with Facebook on your behalf.
The extension uses Chrome's local storage to remember your scan configuration between sessions — search settings, selected cities, filter preferences. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
The Marketplace Scout website uses Google Fonts. Google may collect anonymous request data when fonts load. See Google's Privacy Policy for details. No other third-party analytics or tracking services are used.
Marketplace Scout is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
